Repeatly

Privacy Policy — Last updated April 2026

✓ No data collected by the developer

Overview

Repeatly is a habit-tracking app that does not collect, transmit, or process any personal information on our end. All data you enter is stored locally on your device. Additionally, Android's built-in Auto Backup feature may back up your app data to your personal Google account so you can restore it if you switch devices or reinstall the app. The developer never receives or can access this backup data — it belongs to your Google account.

Data We Collect

None. Repeatly does not collect any personal data.

Data Stored On Your Device

Repeatly stores the following data locally on your device only:

Data Purpose
Habit names, schedules, and completion history Core app functionality
User profile name and avatar Profile screen personalisation
App settings (dark mode, notifications, etc.) Your preferences
Backup ZIP files (only when you export) Created on-demand in a location you choose

This data is stored on your device. It may also be backed up to your personal Google account via Android Auto Backup (see below), and is exported only if you explicitly choose to use the backup export feature.

Camera

Repeatly requests camera permission only when you use the Battle feature (QR code scanning for head-to-head comparisons with another user in person). The camera is not used to capture photos, and no images are stored or transmitted.

Notifications

Repeatly can send local notifications as habit reminders. These are generated entirely on-device and are not linked to any external service. You can disable them at any time in Settings → Notifications.

Background Processing

Repeatly uses background processing to:

No network requests are made during background processing.

Data Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties, advertisers, or analytics providers.

Backup and Restore

Android Auto Backup: Android automatically backs up your Repeatly data (habit database and settings) to your personal Google account. This backup is encrypted and tied to your Google account — the developer cannot access it. You can manage or disable this in Android Settings → Google → Backup. Google typically retains backup data for up to 60 days after the last backup.

Export Backup: When you use the Export Backup feature, a ZIP file is created in the location you select via the Android file picker. This file contains your full habit history and settings. You control where it is saved — we do not receive a copy.

Data Retention

Data Deletion

The developer holds no copy of your data and cannot delete it on your behalf — all deletion is within your control.

Children

Repeatly does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Since we collect no data at all, this policy applies equally to all age groups.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published here and included in the next app update. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
